Origin BioMed Inc., Halifax, Canada, is an innovative over-the-counter (OTC) health care company well positioned for rapid growth within the fastest growing segments of the consumer health products industry. The company’s proprietary, high-value neuropathic pain management products target exciting large markets, and Origin is now poised to expand rapidly into these markets.

Origin BioMed has focused its market entry activity primarily into drug store chains within North America. In addition, the company also places its products into health care clinics, health food stores, grocers and mass market big box retailers.

As Origin continues to grow, it seeks a Strategic Sales Representative for its downtown Halifax office. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, this energetic person will have an opportunity to grow in their roles and responsibilities with the company, and will be well rewarded based on this contribution.

Strategic Sales Responsibilities:

  • Play a vital role in pipeline growth & revenue attainment by closing sales or obtaining re-orders with direct-to-consumer customers and independent retail accounts within Origin’s database; as well as closing deals in new accounts.
  • Effectively leverage and nurture independent drug and health food store accounts within Canada and the United States to purchase or re-order.
  • Proactively calling direct to consumer customers to inquire about ordering or re-ordering.
  • Developing new business relationships with pharmacists / health food store accounts.
  • Provide logistics support to outside regional sales representatives.
  • Assist with marketing programs as required, including mailings, faxes and newsletters.
  • Assist with marketing events and meetings as arranged by outside regional sales representatives as necessary.

The successful candidate will foremost possess past sales experience, ability to work within a team, high level of common sense and self-motivation in an entrepreneurial environment. The candidate will have a high level of coordination and communication skills, and provide a high level of energy for selling Origin’s products.
