HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Canada (June 19, 2006) – Origin BioMed Inc. announced today that it has
acquired the book publisher MedPress™ (www.medpress.com) as well as the supplement company NeuroHelp™ (www.neurohelp.com). Both businesses were developed by John Senneff, San Antonio, TX who is widely known in the chronic pain support community in North America. The details of the transaction are not disclosed.
Senneff has authored three important books: “Numb Toes and Aching Soles,” “Numb Toes and Other Woes,” and
“Nutrients for Neuropathy.” These books are the first to describe peripheral neuropathy in non-technical terms for
the benefit of lay people. The books are used by many health professionals and pain sufferers alike, and will
continue to be published through MedPress.
The popular supplement called NeuroHelp Essential™, specifically formulated to improve nerve health, was also
developed by Senneff. Both the books and supplements have been highly beneficial to people suffering from
chronic neuropathic pain. Robert Cervelli, President of Origin BioMed, said “We are proud to have the opportunity
to carry on John’s important work. He has benefited thousands of people suffering from peripheral neuropathy.”
John Senneff said “I am most fortunate in having Origin BioMed continue on with the work of MedPress and
NeuroHelp. They are highly regarded in North American health communities, particularly for their work in helping
people with neuropathic pain. I am sure they will continue to serve these people well.”
Origin BioMed is a 5-year old health products company focused on creating pain relief treatments for those who
suffer from neuropathic pain. Origin’s principal product is Neuragen®, an FDA registered over-the-counter topical
drug, which provides fast-acting pain relief for most types of neuropathy including diabetic peripheral neuropathy,
post-shingles pain and fibromyalgia.
